Since starting an MFA in fiction last summer, and I've been writing and reading like mad. I now have a first draft of my new novel "Earth Works", about a young woman about to meet her father after 14 years. On top of that she's trying to prove herself in her new job as greenhouse manager at a CSA (community supported ag) farm, and trying to decide between Zach, a good looking beef farmer, and Vlado, the field manager who is always ready with a joke.
This past year I had a story published in Persimmon Tree, "A Good Session" about an evolutionist that gets a visit from a hot Jehovah's Witness.

My story Quesasomthings is in the Jan. 2015 issue of r.kv.r.y. A lonely pre tenure prof can't get a conversation started at a stuffy faculty party, until she runs into an equally lonely potter.
